TERRY ROWLETT GARDEN TOUR

While reporting on homes and gardens in Athens and Oglethorpe County, I was able to meet with painter Terry Rowlett, who is an avid formal gardener. This video takes viewers on a tour of Rowlett's private sanctuary and was published through The Oglethorpe Echo.
ATHENS AREA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL VIDEO
Nov. 2020
In conjunction with the Noland profile, my classmate Amelia and I also covered a variety of Athens Area high schools and interviewed coaches to hear their thoughts on how to stay healthy and competitive during a season centered around COVID-19. My partner and I co-wrote our script while Amelia provided the voice-over, and I edited the project using Adobe Premiere Pro. Additionally, this project helped strengthen my video, interview, and editing skills. This video was featured on the Grady Newsource website.
THOMSON HIGH SCHOOL AT MORGAN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BROADCAST OPEN
Sept. 2021
In my sports broadcasting and production class, we covered the Thomson vs Morgan County football game. This was the taped broadcast open we aired prior to our live broadcast. The package was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and produced through the Carmical Sports Media Institute at UGA.
GRADY SPORTSOURCE SHOW
Oct. 8, 2021
I produced my first studio show for Grady Sportsource with the Carmical Sports Media Institute. Over the two weeks before airing, I was responsible for creating a rundown for the show, coordinating with on-air talent and coordinating with my graphics and features producers. I chose to highlight clips from three segments because we were successfully able to incorporate lower thirds and full screen graphics into our live segments, which saved us time editing in post-production. We also incorporated both a double box and triple box for our live segments, as well as set up an analyst outside our studio to present in the Hot Seat segment.
PUTNAM COUNTY AT MORGAN COUNTY LIVE BROADCAST
Aug. 27, 2021
I produced my first live broadcast for a Morgan County High School football game. The broadcast was streamed on the NFHS Network. Over the week, I was responsible for creating a rundown for the broadcast, coordinating with on-air talent regarding information on both teams and the graphics team for the show. I chose to highlight clips where we introduced starting lineups with graphics, incorporated an on-camera sideline hit, delivered a halftime summary and feature package, as well as commentary about the notes our team gathered in preparation for the matchup.

This was a recurring segment written and produced by me for my high school news broadcasts. It focused heavily on student life and engaging students with our news show in fun and interesting ways. It is not affiliated with the Carmical Sports Media Institute or the University of Georgia in any way.
WORD ON THE STREET WEDNESDAY: VALENTINE'S DAY
Feb. 2019
This was a recurring segment written and produced by me for my high school news broadcasts. Feb. 2021
In December of 2020, I conducted an interview with Collier Perno, Director of Football Performance Nutrition at the University of Georgia. After transcribing and highlighting the interview, it was sent to WUGAÂ 91.7 and 94.5 FM and featured on their Athens News Matters program.
