From an early age, sports was my greatest passion. I watched Braves baseball every night, tuned into Sportscenter every morning and collected a vast number sports cards and memorabilia. From attending games to playing sports throughout my childhood and high school, I realized what I loved about sports was getting to work with others, the action and pure entertainment day in and day out, and engaging an audience that was looking for more information at all times.

Around the age of 13, I began to perform in local theatre, which I continued throughout high school while I helped broadcast my high school’s news shows and create news packages in my video production classes. Those two outlets sparked my interest in broadcast journalism as I realized I could use my newfound passion for media and entertainment to convey the thrill I had for sports to others and tell incredible stories about athletes and others in the sport industry that would impact my audience. Upon my acceptance into UGA, I chose to pursue a major in journalism and was accepted into the Carmical Sports Media Institute as a freshman, which quickly helped me gain a deeper understanding of the sports media landscape and develop industry skills.

Throughout my time at the University of Georgia, I have reported countless stories, created news packages, produced infographics and strengthened my skills as a reporter and broadcaster.

As I have continued my sports media journey at UGA and through internships, such as my summer with the Savannah Bananas, I now aspire to work within the broadcast production industry. I have a passion for telling the stories of live events and the players and characters that make up each one. Whether I am working any production role or serving as talent, my research, problem solving and attention to detail ensure that I will cover every aspect of a game to the best of my ability.
